Mike Lynch Brings Military Appreciation to a Whole New Level

You may see Mike walking in the store and not recognize him because he is a radio personality. When he starts to speak, you instantly recognize his voice. Mike has been a WCCO radio personality since 1981. He has covered everything from deadly tornados to record low temperatures in Minnesota.

He has also been teaching Astrology since 1973. He has built three telescopes since the 1970’s and continues to use them today. Check out his website at to get more information about his work in the Astrology field.

He came out to the Minnesota School of Business in Lakeville to broadcast live from the Military Appreciation event on May 18th. The event featured all branches of military service as well as employers and community partners from the Lakeville area.

He wanted to make sure that the right voices were heard on the radio. He interviewed the Air Force and Marine Corp recruiters. He also interviewed the Yellow Ribbon of Lakeville and a WWII veteran by the name of Ken Krueger. Ken has an interesting story and can be followed at

He interviewed Shawna Geisler, a current student at MSB Lakeville, about her experience with the school and how they helped her transition from the military sector into civilian life. Director of Military Student Services, Mike Hughes, also was interviewed about the opportunities that active duty and veteran students have with MSB.

Mike’s interviews brought out people from as far as St. Paul to come tell us their story and share in the   appreciation event. This was a great way to bring the community together to show our appreciation for the military and show that “We Care.”

We hope to work with Mike again to share more stories that inspire others to share theirs.

Thank you for your Interest in Minnesota School of Business.
