Design Studio Project Makes Front Page News

Posted by on July 15, 2011

Mike Chau’s Design Studio class went about its service learning project in an authentic way: it partnered with the city of Waite Park to create logos and signage for a Healthy Living Trail in the city. The actual products of their labor–17 signs–will be seen in the city park by the end of the month.

“The students were motivated from the start,” Chau said, and went about the project in a very professional manner, meeting with city officials, including City Administrator Shauna Johnson, to plan the project. They also communicated with the city officials throughout the process, ensuring that the partner’s needs were being met.

The project also caught the attention of the ST CLOUD TIMES and received front page attention. MSB Design Students Partner with City of Waite Park
