Thank you to everyone who put in many volunteer hours over the last few days in conjunction with the Fargo Marathon!! Our booth at the Health Tech Expo was JUMPING both Thursday and Friday! Through blood pressure screenings, Vet Tech displays and chair massages, we talked with a ton of people, got some really good exposure, and most importantly, educated and helped a LOT of people. Not to mention all the volunteers who directed traffic, handed out registration packets, medals, and/or water to the racers both Friday and Saturday!
Saturday brought us the 10K, and the half and full marathons (and very little rain thankfully ) where we had volunteers serving food, handing out medals, directing traffic or just supporting the others doing all these things! We also had a squad of massage students who worked on roughly 400 of the runners on Saturday!!!
Let us not forget the volunteers who actually took part in some of the races as well!! Great work everyone! I got winded just driving back and forth from the campus to the Dome over those two days – so major KUDOS to those of you who walked, ran, or crawled your way through any of the events this weekend!
We’ll be pulling together numbers today for total hours of volunteer time, but with a rough calculation on donations and fundraising over the last week, we raised between $900 and $1000 for our various charities!!! Great Work Everyone!!!
