Your Student Life: Learn. Network. Succeed.
Minnesota School of Business & Globe University strive to be true partners in our students’ success, from the moment they enroll to the time they graduate. From industry-experienced instructors to convenient campus locations to industry-standard equipment and technology, we want to give our students every possible advantage to meet their education and career objectives.
Instructors as mentors
We bring in instructors who have practical experience in the fields that they teach because we want you to learn from people who’ve actually been in the industry. It’s about learning real-world applications and scenarios — not just theories from a book. We also keep our class sizes small so students have the opportunity to get personalized attention and mentoring in the classroom.
Our small class sizes also mean you have the chance to get to know your peers, build relationships and networking opportunities that can help take you right into your new career.
If you have an interest in being active in our student body, there are a variety of ways to get involved at each campus, including community service, recreation, and even career-focused associations and activities.
Here are just a few of the opportunities you can take advantage of:
- Rochester Student Ambassadors
- Richfield Book Club
- Blaine Minnesota Food Share Drive
- St. Cloud’s Medical Club
It might sound cynical to say, “It’s not what you know, but who you know,” but we actually believe it’s both. We aim to give you all the knowledge and hands-on training you need to succeed in the classroom, but we also want you to be able to create strong relationships — both on campus and in the community. In addition to our experienced faculty and your fellow classmates, we try to include externships and service and applied learning opportunities wherever we can to help you not only train for your career but also connect with local and regional employers and businesses.
We also offer graduates the opportunity to participate on program advisory boards that perform program evaluations and make recommendations for maintaining programs that meet industry requirements.
Convenient locations and well-quipped facilities
We want our career education opportunities to be as accessible to as many students as possible, which is why our campus locations are located near bus and transit lines. We outfit our labs and classrooms with industry-standard technology and equipment, including things like on-campus surgical suites for our vet tech students and high-tech patient simulators for our nursing students. We believe hands-on training and practical applications are the best way to prepare you for the job market.
Wherever our students are at in their education with us, we offer comprehensive academic support, whether that’s one-on-one tutoring in a certain subject or technical assistance for online courses. On-campus or online, whether it’s your first class with us or your last, our tutors, advisors and service desk are here to help.
