Student Life: Networking for Your Future

As a student at Globe University/Minnesota School of Business, you will have the opportunity to work closely with instructors who have experience in your field, to network with industry professionals and to develop strong friendships with your future colleagues.

Our students come from diverse backgrounds, and are preparing for careers in fields as varied as business management, nursing, medical assisting, information technology and massage therapy. One factor unites students, staff and faculty at our college, however—a focus on career preparation. That focus forms the basis of a rich and rewarding student life.

Close student-instructor relationships

Our students tell us how much they appreciate the small class sizes at our schools. Regardless of which degree program you enroll in, you will get the help and the mentoring you need to achieve your goals. You will also have the opportunity to build strong relationships with faculty and classmates.

Participate in student associations

Join our student body and you will have the opportunity to participate in various student associations and activities. Some apply directly to your career field, some benefit the community and some are purely for fun. These are just a few examples of student groups:

  • Rochester Student Ambassadors
  • Richfield book club
  • Blaine Minnesota Food Share drive
  • St. Cloud’s medical club

Begin the critical process of professional networking

Professional networking is a critical element of a successful career. At Globe University/Minnesota School of Business, you be working with instructors who have work experience in your career field. Depending on your program, you may participate in an externship, internship or service and applied learning opportunities where you can develop critical professional relationships.

As a graduate, you may choose to participate on your program’s advisory board and benefit from valuable professional and personal relationships with your fellow graduates. You can build a network that you may continue to draw on and expand throughout your career.
